Man booked for posting objectionable content on social media | KNO

Rajouri, May 30 (KNO): A 30-year-old man, a driver by profession has been booked by Jammu and Kashmir police for posting objectionable content on Facebook on Saturday, officials said. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a man hailing from Bali village of Rajouri's Kalakote Tehsil posted some photographs on his Facebook timeline, which were ‘highly sensitive’ in nature and “posed a threat to peaceful atmosphere.” “Taking immediate note, JK Police registered a case in Kalakote Police Station under sections 153, 153-B IPC,” they said, adding that the accused identified as Muhammad Irshad, son of Mohammad Rafiq of Balli village of Kalakote has been arrested. A senior police officer of Rajouri district while confirming the details said that the misuse of social media can never be tolerated. “We appeal every social media user not to misuse the social media platform,” he said—(KNO)
